For an avid fisherman, the Amazon is a dream destination for fishing for piranha, peacock bass, or other tropical freshwater species.

My husband Ronnie loves to fish, but did not catch anything during our 15 minutes of fishing on the Amazon. We learned that to seriously fish for peacock bass, we would need to hire an outfitter and go out for several days from Manaus on a boat similar to this one. We could then use the boat as a base camp for fishing expeditions on the Amazon and its tributaries.
