About Watergate

When I was growing up, I remember the nearly endless Watergate White House Nixon trials.
They were on seemingly twenty-four-seven, and all of the non-cable network channels broadcasted them.
President Richard Nixon had been caught being involved in a scandal where Washington D.
C.
's Watergate Hotel had been bugged during the Democratic National Convention, and Nixon was implicated by a tape recording where he had apparently instructed some of his Republican fellows to bug the hotel rooms where the Democrats were staying.
Eventually the tape recordings were destroyed by a Nixon associate, and so it was very hard to tell if Nixon was actually involved in the bugging.
Then when OJ Simpson apparently murdered his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman, they ran the lengthy public trial, which eventually resulted in Simpson being declared innocent, although a civil trial later found him guilty for damages' sake when it came to the Goldman family.
I thought that was pretty strange, as it was a murder case and the civil trial was for money's sake alone.
I was glad to see Simpson take at least some punishment for his actions.
Nowadays, it seems he's gotten pretty desperate, being on and off pills, somehow threatening to rob the Football Hall of Fame for his old memorabilia and otherwise making hideous news stories out of his own peculiar antics.
Then there was the Peterson trials, about which I almost helped a photographer who had taken some nude photos of Amber Frey, the "other woman" in the celebrated murder case, get a book written.
The photographer and I were negotiating a deal involving a final book on the Peterson murders.
About Watergate The Gods and Goddesses of television who Signed off in the middle of three trials that lasted Kept lingering in my mind forever as the Trials that I must be put through, to mean nothing in the end.
I fought them all off, one as a child, another As an adult, watching my "black brother," and he Nestled in my TV hand like a bird on a leaf when Scott Peterson came out of the Woodward and Bernstein toddling off all about Watergate.
The tears I shed for the dead victims were real But Watergate, Watergate in the end, Is how I inevitably feel.
Do you know what I Mean how to be smaller than truth is always Obscene? I can't understand how the three trials Or what they really were had to do with each Other; it's what they had to do with each other, All being the same length, and of no length at all.
