Some things to think about when one a cruise in the UK
  1. Make sure that you have a local agent to teach you the ropes.
It is not a particularly complicated area to navigate but the services of a guide might add that extra bit of convenience.
You will also be sure that you cannot get lost in the midst of the countryside.
If you cannot gain the services of a human guide then the satellite navigation system works very well.
It will help you manage the travel in ways that were previously alien to some parts of the world.
You can then explore the United Kingdom at your leisure.
You should not let yourself be stuck in the cruise ship for the largest part of the day.
  2. Try to go inland whenever you have the opportunity.
Some of the most interesting parts of the United Kingdom are on the mainland.
You can leave the cruise ship when it lands at certain ports.
Then you have the opportunity to go inland and sample the great history of the country.
I particularly like Portsmouth because it is set up like a mini resort.
There is a great shopping center and you can also gain plenty of experience of some of the landmarks that are there.
For example they recently put up remnants of the Mary Rose.
This was the ship build by Henry Tudor.
That is a piece of history that is almost priceless when you think about it logically.
  3. Avoids shopping for the expensive items.
It is well known that the idea of rip of Britain is not a myth.
The prices are very high when you compare them to the rest of Europe.
You should ensure that you have as many items as possible ready for use instead of hoping to shop within central London.
It is almost certain that you will find many of the items quite expensive.
However you might be able to make some excellent deals on the electronics or computer gadgets.
  4. Do not just concentrate on England but give the other parts a chance.
Britain is much bigger than the boundaries of England.
In fact it is something of a sore point for the rest of the United Kingdom that they are continuously ignored by tourists.
There is nothing wrong with visiting Scotland or Wales.
Each side has its great points and less positive points.
  5. Do not miss the historical country homes and palaces.
Try to go on a trip when the weather is good especially in summer.
This is the time when many of the local people will be away in Spain.
You can then enjoy their country without the stifling crowds that can characterize some of these tours.
Be prepared for the strong pound against your currency.
When it comes to the conversion all your savings will appear to be paltry when compared to the exchange
