Jetboil Fuel Options
- Jetboil's Jetpower brand canned fuel is a blend of propane and iso-butane. Propane provides higher pressure at colder temperatures while iso-butane keeps pressure to the burner constant as the volume in the can decreases.
- Jetboil Jetpower fuel comes in 100 gram canisters only. A single Jetboil fuel canister boils up to 12 liters of water. Because of the design efficiency of the stove, a Jetboil boils as much water as competing stoves while consuming half as much canned fuel.
- The Jetboil burner accommodates any fuel canisters with valves made to the EN417 specification. This includes most other name brand fuels for canned fuel stoves sold in the United States and Britain.
- The Jetboil system packs into a one-piece unit for compact transport. Jetpower fuel canisters are of a proprietary size and shape designed to nest inside the Jetboil water cup when packed. Canisters of most other brands of fuel will not fit in the Jetboil water cup and must be carried separately.
