New Year"s Eve in Boston
While First Night Boston provides family fun for New Year’s Eve, those choosing to party until the wee hours of the morning have options as well.
Here are a few of the many:
On Top of the Liberty - The swank Liberty Hotel hosts its New Year’s shindig aerial performers, specialty cocktails, entertainment, and light snacks. See site for various price points on room and party packages. Great Gatsby New Year’s Party - Boston Swing Central honors a time gone by with this swingin’ evening at the Crosby Whistle Stop. Advance tickets are just $25. Lessons from 8-9 p.m., general dancing to take place until at least 12:30 a.m.
Tupac Rave - The Good Life celerates the music and life of the late Tupac Shakur with two floors of Vicks inhalers, pacifiers, West Coast hip hop, and candy necklaces. Really. Tickets are $35. New Year’s Eve at the Candy Factory - It’s a candy-themed Willy Wonka New Year at the Greatest Bar. General admission tickets are $50 dollars giving access to one floor. VIP, $75 tickets are good for all three floors. New Year’s Gala Celebration - The Beehive rings in the New Year with an evening of “discoteque burlesque.” Entertainment will be provided by the “sultry Parisian burlesque performances by Calamity Chang & Stormy Leather and dancing. Seventy-five dollar tickets do not include food. A $105 admission includes a buffet. For a more laid back night out, popular Boston hangouts like The Kells, Roggie’s, and The Sweetwater Café, among dozens of others, provide dancing, champagne toasts, and appetizers for around $35 or so. - Boston’s Resolution Party at The Seaport Hotel - An all-inclusive package is available for $179 for a limited time (prices will increase to $249 and $299 after that) and includes cocktail reception, passed hors d'oeuvres, food stations, and dancing. Last year sold out, so early action is suggested.
- Top of the Hub Welcomes 2012 High Above the City - It’s a full evening of dinner, drinks and dancing with dazzling views of the city and midnight fireworks. The $275 admission per person includes gourmet dinner, beverages during cocktail hour, gratuity, and midnight toast.
- The Gold Standard at Venu - Top 40 mashups with DJ Matty D. Limited tickets are $95.
- Timeless – This New Year’s Eve gala at the Marriott Courtyard Downtown will be a James Bond, 007 theme this year. Shake, don’t stir. General admission is $70. VIP tickets ($125) and tables for four ($425) also available.
