    • 1). First , you have to remove the old grip. This can be done by Clamping your golf club in a vise. For protection of your club shaft, use a towel or rubber clamp inside the vise jaws. Use a utility knife and make a cut along the grip, make sure you cut through to the shaft. then peel the grip away from the club shaft. and remove all residual tape by scraping with utility blade.

Clean the shaft with some solvent on a rag and let dry ( I like to use lighter fluid) you can use any solvent that evaporates quickly. Next wrap your golf club shaft with double sided tape. You can find this at any golf outlet or any store carrying golf equipment. Be sure to only go down the shaft as far as the grip will.

    • 3). Once the tape is in place disperse some solvent over the tape to lubricate, then quickly push the new grip,I prefer "Golf Pride" grips, easily order through Golfworks.com onto lubricated tape, be sure to keep moving during this step, it will be fairly smooth but only as good as the lubricating step. Once grip is completely on straighten grip on shaft and repeat on the next club. Allow to setup overnight before using.
