Surfside Motel

• Surfside Motel has one of the most liberal pet policies on the island. While other hotels reserve a few rooms for pets and allow dogs up to a certain weight and size, Surfside is much more welcoming to four-legged family members. Surfside is especially gracious when it comes to the local animal rescue and matches all guest donations made to the Animal Shelter of Martha's Vineyard in Edgartown. • Oak Bluffs rental home is a pet-friendly guest cottage located two miles from downtown Oak Bluffs between the seventh and eight holes in Farm Neck Golf Club. It's a quiet cottage decorated with heirloom antique furniture and set on four landscaped acres with access to an 18-hole championship golf course, bike trails and tennis courts. Farm Neck Golf Club is situated on Martha's Vineyard's peninsula on the eastern shore and overlooks Nantucket Sound. It's within walking distance to a private beach and Sengakontacket Pond. • The Shiverick Inn is a colonial-inspired, 19th century grand mansion located in Edgartown's seaside village. The Shiverick Inn is surrounded by manicured lawns and gardens, shady linden trees and a white picket fence. Each suite is unique and designed with a blend of American, English and French antiques from the 18th and 19th centuries. The inn is decorated in elegant fabrics, wallpaper and oriental rugs. There are a limited number of guestrooms reserved for pets, which come furnished with dog beds and feeding dishes. The spacious suites have canopied or four-poster beds and a fireplace. The common areas of the Shiverick Inn have working fireplaces and a sunny garden room that overlooks the English cottage garden. There's a Steinway concert piano in the living room.
