How Hardgainers Should Train to Build Muscle

103 10
Most hardgainers believe that training harder is the only way to build muscles for them and they usually mix high volume training with high intensity.
This is a big mistake and you will only end up over training.
So hardgainers have to train smarter not harder.
So here I will show how to avoid over training and train smarter.
1.
Ignore those big guys in the gym who tells you to workout for more than one hour.
As a hardgainer you should never train more than one hour.
The reason behind this is after one hour of intense training you will enter in a catabolic state, that is your muscles are break down for fuel.
2.
Your muscles do not grow when you are training in gym.
Hardgainers need to get enough rest to recover.
My advice would be to train each muscle groups once a week and give one day rest after every session.
3.
Some times you will feel very tired on workouts and finds difficulty in lifting weights.
It may be a sign of over training.
When you feel this way take a full week rest and give your muscles the extra recovery time.
Your muscles tissues will repair and build muscles bigger and stronger.
It will do only more good when taking enough rests.
4.
Eat 5-6 times a day spaced 2-3 hours.
It helps you to stay away from catabolism, which I have said earlier.
All your meals should contain high quality proteins and carbohydrates.
You can also take supplemets like whey protein shakes or meal replacement shakes to substitute some of your meals.
