Whether you are interested in a scholarship or just finding a school to ski at, the student should begin by filling out the National Collegiate Recruitment Database form on NCWSA.com. This goes to all our teams for use in their recruiting.
This database helps skiers coming out of high school (or those who haven't sought higher education up to that time) get in touch with college water ski team programs, with the aim of recruiting their talents.
Other opportunities for scholarship and financial aid exist with the American Water Ski Educational Foundation. Here you'll find requirements, selection criteria, deadline, and an online application.
For everything you wanted to know about collegiate skiing but were afraid to ask see NCWSA.com. It includes team lists, by conference, with addresses and contacts, tournament schedules, results, rules, technical information, ranking lists, maps to sites, hotel information and what's going on and why.
Of course there are numerous colleges that have waterskiing clubs and teams but do not offer scholarships.
You'll find the list in the Collegiate Waterskiing section of this site. Don't feel intimidated by checking into joining one of these teams if you think your waterskiing skills are not top notch. For many students a collegiate waterskiing team is their first experience skiing a slalom course or jumping a ramp, myself included.
