I See - The Global Warming Scare Failed So, Now They Wish to Revisit Peak Oil Theory?
The production of oil has not increased as fast as the demand, and this is causing problems on the global market.
Things will get even worse as the global economic recovery continues.
Luckily, we got a slight reprieve after the economic crisis slow down all of the industrialized nations causing them to use less oil.
Now you might say that a global economic crisis isn't lucky, but it did give those in charge, and the leaders of the industry a glimpse at exactly how dire the situation is.
Yes, even though consumption was down in any given nation, the overall slowdown wasn't significant at all, if anything it just allowed the oil production capacity to catch back up.
For instance Iraq oil is now coming online, and the Brazilians are now drilling for deep oil off their coasts.
This increased oil supply will come in handy, but as the economics of the world increase and we have solid GDP growth throughout the world, we are still going to run into that big problem.
Global warming alarmists realize their scare tactics have failed, so now they are pointing to the issues of peak oil.
If you'll remember the peak oil theory of the 1970s had everyone scared that oil was going to run out across the planet.
40 years later the oil is flowing excellently, and there is plenty of oil for the next few decades, that is including the oil reserves which we found at the North Pole, and other places around the world.
However, eventually we will use those up as well.
Anyway, rather than talking about mankind's carbon footprint, or the concept that global climate change will melt the ice caps, and flood all the cities of the world, the global warming alarmists are changing the name of global warming because it has a negative connotation now, and they are trying different approaches because what they've done so far isn't working.
For those who are global warming deniers, like myself, I find the whole thing laughable.
Indeed, if the alternative energy billionaires of the world really wanted to wrestle away the power base from the oil industry, they could've been discussing peak oil all along, rather than coming up with this notion of global warming.
If you'll recall in the 1970s, a similar group of people tried to convince us that we were going into an Ice Age, then the 1990s they change their tune because that didn't work and they tried all concept of the planet heating up.
Interestingly enough the concept came about when the Hunt brothers invested in the Biosphere II Project at Columbia University in Tucson.
In fact I am convinced that's where the theory was hatched, and where big oil and academia got together to come up with this global warming scare tactic.
You see, by limiting through regulation the use of fossil fuels, that means that big oil continues its monopoly, and OPEC and those companies involved with OPEC continue to rake in the cash.
Meanwhile the enticement of the alternative energy sector to make a profit in a new industry being promoted by government and funded by nations around the world proved too much to resist.
After all, who wouldn't want to get in on the next big bubble being built? I hope you've enjoyed this article, and this rather frank discussion, I find the whole thing very fascinating, but tell you the truth I don't really care to get involved in all of the sound and fury, as I kind of see through it now.
E-mail me if you'd like to sound off, or have other thoughts you'd like to discuss.
Other than that, I hope you will please think on this, and consider what I've said.
Have a nice day.
