If you have been on the internet looking at income opportunities lately you have undoubtedly come across the many scams that are out on the world wide web.
The problem we face in today's culture is that anybody can become a self appointed guru from anything from Yoga to Yogurt.
This is no different in the network marketing world, it may even be somewhat more pronounced with the amount of self-proclaimed marketing experts that I have come across in the past few months.
I suspect they have seen an opportunity preying on the current global financial crisis and the trend of individuals seeking alternate sources of income.
You would have seen them as well, Guys standing next to Ferrari's and Bentleys, Couples in front of Huge houses talking about success in an unbelievably short periods of time etc.
Legitimate Home Business opportunities are out there.
You have to know where to look and what to look for.
This article is intended to give you a few examples of how to pick the scams from the legitimate Businesses and help you on your way to success! There are two common categories of Home Business Scams.
The first is the Self-Proclaimed Guru.
The second is the Has-Been Guru.
You can usually spot the Self-Proclaimed Home Business expert starting as soon as their ads.
One example I have seen on Facebook recently shows a young guy in front of a Ferrari.
He claims he made a squillion dollars in no amount of time and can show you how to do the same - "Get Rich Quick".
Sounds common enough.
A picture tells a thousand words and the thing that gives it away for me is when you take a closer look at the photo.
This guys body language is of a guy who is afraid of the car, not wanting to touch it.
Imagine yourself in the showroom of a Porche dealership and how you feel to visualize what I mean.
I have also heard stories of people hiring Sports cars for the day to take similar types of photos.
The Has-Been Guru usually gives him self away in a similar fashion.
When you take a look at their ads and website you will be given a story of self-made riches.
The subtle difference from the Self-Proclaimed home business guru is their photos are usually legitimate and not mocked up.
The situation is these guys have usually made some money from MLM or Network marketing in the past.
Usually their income source has not been sustainable and they have invented their own.
These guys usually market "how to market" schemes.
Their photos usually show them at their prime.
Look at their photos for clothing styles and car models.
They are usually 5-10 years out of fashion.
Now please do not take what I have indicated above as absolute rules.
These are guidelines to assist in highlighting potential work from home business scams.
Once alerted you can ask a number of questions to determine their integrity for yourself.
There are exceptions to the rule in every business.
