Steps to Choosing a Home Based Business - The Make Or Break Decision

Working from home is a wish most people seem to only dream of.
Well to tell you the truth it is not as difficult as one would imagine.
With all the choices out in a saturated internet world it can seem a little difficult to choose which one may be right for you.
Well I will go over a few basic things to look for when choosing that perfect profitable "Work From Home Business".
When I started looking for a business to jump into I was a little overwhelmed to see there was allot of opportunities to choose from.
There were opportunities from stuffing envelopes which seemed really 70's to me.
I saw some people selling a "Business in A Box" which cost $50.
00 to as much as $100.
00.
It made me weary.
I saw them all, bought countless e-books, manuals, programs, DVD's, saw almost all of them.
So here is what I came up with...
1 - The first thing to look for, plain and simple, is a big ticket commission.
Why would you promote 5 to 10 products and spend so much money in advertising to hopefully make 30% to 50% of the profit you could have made from one sale and advertising only one product? 2 - The second thing to look for is a solid product.
A good company backing a solid product is, in my mind very rare on the internet.
Who wants to market a product that comes from a fly by night company? A company selling a scam could leave you with a bad name or guys in glasses and dark suits knocking on your door really fast.
I recommend finding a product that comes from a company that has been around for awhile.
Do some research online.
Ask me if you like, I may have already dealt with them in some form.
3 - The Third thing to look for, and in my opinion, is the most important, is support.
Support in your new business is so huge.
It is sort of like you being a new born and being spoon fed.
With bad support you could be like a crying hungry baby.
The only way to ensure good support is to know if your sponsor or owner of the company you join under is making money from each sale.
I tell you this now, if I were to have someone working for me I am going to help them succeed if I am making a high dollar payout from their performance! So look for support.
Does your sponsor only benefit from your first sale? Are you worthless to him after that? Does it have a back end? Good marketing? Good business plan? Does their site look presentable? Check it all out.
4 - The fourth thing to look for is presence.
Does this company look presentable? Will it make me look cheesy selling their product or offering them as a rep? When I was a kid we used to go to the mall and see these girls in funny hats and skirts jumping up and down on sticks in bucket of lemons.
That to me would make me feel stupid.
Don't do something because you have do, choose a business online because you like it.
Don't feel stuck.
Putting on a nice suit is a good feeling walking around.
Presence, people look at something and if it looks good there is a chance they will buy just because of that.
Just make sure what you are selling is presentable and looks awesome.
5 - The fifth and final thing which to me is marketing.
Is this business marketable? If so how? Is there a strong marketing program that is attached to the business? What methods are being used? Direct Mail? Online PPC? Engines? Off line marketing? Free advertising? Co-op's? Look into it, this is the make or break deal for inexperienced new business owners.
Does it have a back end? Good marketing? Good business plan? Does their site look presentable? Check it all out.
