Gaining Clean and Lean Muscle

I like the idea of being able to make good gains while eating clean and building lean muscle.
If you plan and balance your diet you can achieve this with a rather common sense approach to your nutrition.
Many of the male bodybuilders use a diet plan to bulk with in the off season that leaves them bloated and with a high percent of body fat.
This can be avoided, and you can add lean muscle to your frame without all the excess fat.
Being muscular will only get you halfway there, you need to be lean.
You can maintain a lean muscular figure all year round if you commit yourself to a healthy nutrition plan.
You want to gain lean muscle, not fat, so keep in mind that you don't want to eat garbage.
Aside from all the other nutrition tips and "rules" you may have followed or heard of in the past, you will find there are many ways to get there.
Measuring and weighing all your meals is one way to make sure that you are going to get the nutrients that you will need to fuel your body, yet burn fat.
You can just eat whatever amount of food you see fit to make gains.
Don't get me wrong, less is not always more.
You just can't go overboard with your food consumption, no matter how much you train.
Cardio can only take care of so much.
You want to do this so you don't get to a point where you realize that "oops look at me now" and have to go on some extreme, dangerous, and unhealthy diet.
You really can have your cake and eat it too.
You just have to do it in moderation, and with some self control.
Set aside one day per week to eat some foods that you really enjoy eating, and don't feel guilty about it.
Look at it this way, it will spike your metabolism, and actually help you keep off fat, but add lean muscle.
Don't approach a sensible diet with confusion because most of it is common sense, and the rest of it can be researched rather easily.
Once you begin to apply some basic principles of nutrition to your life, and you want lean, detailed muscle, you will get it.
