Watchdog Sump Pump - Read Before You Purchase

I recently purchased a backup Watchdog sump pump (2000 GPH) and thought I would write a review on my experience. I did a lot of research on all different brands of backup pumps and I kept coming back to the Watchdog sump pump simply because virtually all of the reviews that I found were positive.

Installation

The system is easy to install if you have a bit of plumbing knowledge and the instructions are really detailed for those folks that have no plumbing knowledge what so ever. The entire install job took me about an hour but I had to make some minor augmentations to my existing pipe structure. If you are not the do it yourself type you can easily hire a plumber or handyman to install your pump for you.

A couple of the features that make the Watchdog Sump Pump better than the rest.

The first thing that I love about this system is all of the different monitoring settings. The display sounds an alarm if the battery is low, if the system is clogged, and even if the float is blocked. This allows you to have that added peace of mind that your backup water pump is working the way it is supposed to. The dual float design adds another layer of protection in case one of the floats does not work properly. The next thing that I thought was great was the overall size. These pumps are really small but pack a big punch. The battery life is also another huge bonus with the watchdog sump pumps. Most pumps will work continuously for up to 7 hours on one battery charge. If it is intermittent most reports say that the battery will last up 24 hours.
All in all this is a great backup pump and I am really happy with mine. For more information and for the best prices on Watchdog Sump Pumps click here Watchdog Sump Pumps
