How to Increase Your Golf Swing Speed and Distance? Hit it Straighter and Get Better Results!

It is still and always will be the most sought after advice in the game of golf, how do you get more golf swing speed and distance.
Every golfer wants to hit it further which will in effect make it easier to play the game.
Whilst this isn't always the case it certainly helps to shoot a better score when you are a lot closer to the green for your second or third shots.
Believe it or not, it's really quite a simple process when looking at developing a stronger golf swing.
There are other variables that impact on your distance such as your age, weight, flexibility and the clubs and golf balls that you use.
However, rather than dissect every single variable we will assume these are all the same and focus more on a couple of key parts that can really improve your golf swing speed and distance.
(1) Make A Full Shoulder Turn It sounds simple enough but most golfers don't make a full shoulder turn which robs them of power on the downswing.
On the take away (right hander) ensure your left shoulder comes right up underneath your chin.
Your back should be pointing towards your target line.
(2) Play The Golf Ball Toward The Front Of Your Stance For right handers this means right on the inside of your left foot.
Because we need to be hitting the ball on the upswing this is the ideal ball position we want.
We don't want it placed in the middle of the stance and definitely not toward the back of the stance.
(3) Keep Your Body Behind The Ball Before & Right Throughout The Swing This is probably the most important thing to remember.
From the start of the golf swing to the finish it is vital to keep your entire body behind the golf ball.
This ensures you are in the best position to produce maximum power that gets right behind the ball.
Any movement of the body pass the golf ball will result in reduced power.
Remember, although you are keeping the body behind the golf ball throughout the golf swing, you must still transfer your weight to your left side (right hander) at the finish.
Give these golf tips a try and you should start to see a real increase in your golf swing speed and distance at your next game of golf.
