Are You Considering Using an Old Fashioned Push Mower?
The blade spin in a circular motion as it's pushed and cuts that grass fairly evenly.
The design works pretty well, it's just that gas powered motors took over as they have a bit more power to them making it a bit easier.
Today with financial concerns and environmental concerns many are considering buying the old push mower for their yards.
They do not require electricity or gasoline which do lead to extra emissions.
Saving this energy also saves you some money.
But can these really cut the grass? Push mowers do a pretty good job.
If you are looking for the yard with every blade of grass being the perfect length, it's not going to give what you want as there are times where a few blades don't get cut evenly.
If you are looking for a device to keep the grass short and not out of control this will work.
The benefit of a push mower is that you can mow the lawn at any time of day.
Many are concerned about mowing too early in the morning because it will wake the neighbors.
A mower like this allows you to do an early morning mowing without bugging anyone else.
There is some maintenance that is needed.
One does need to sharpen the blades from time to time to continue to get a better cut.
On gas powered motors many require sharpening the blades but most don't do it, so technically there is no difference.
The one major drawback is that if you have a yard with quite a few twigs that are 3/4ths of an inch or thicker, these tend to get stuck in the push mower making mowing extremely difficult.
With too many sticks, these mowers aren't really going to work to well.
