Jerry Jacks #1

In 1998, General Hospital introduced Julian Stone, a handsome, dashing figure to play Jerry Jacks, Jax's older brother. Never mind that Stone had a British accent and not an Australian one - the audience loved him, as well as the character of Jerry. So imagine how they felt when Jerry -- and Stone -- left Port Charles in 1999. They weren't happy, especially the Jax fans who felt that Jax was losing what little family he had on General Hospital.

In 2007, the writers brought Jerry back, but he'd had plastic surgery and had turned into Sebastian Roche. Not only that, but Jerry wasn't just a little crooked, he was plain mean! Sebastian Roche has proven to be an excellent addition to General Hospital despite playing a vicious character. But that doesn't mean we don't miss Julian Stone.

Writer/Producer

Why the writers didn't bring back Stone is anyone's guess, but there's a good chance that the British native wasn't interested, given the lack of commitment to his character in the past and his schedule today. He has a production company, TastyFilms, and he has just optioned an award-winning sci-fi novel for teens, Unwind, to develop as a feature. His company is also developing the biography of photographer Suze Randall. Stone's screenplay, The Cat Hunt, based on a novel by John Rae, is being coproduced. And that's just one part of his professional life.

The Voice

Now nearly 48 years of age, Julian Stone is a highly experienced stage actor who, before he joined General Hospital and since he left, has worked in many venues: stage, film, TV, commericials, voiceovers for commercials, and video games.

His rich, beautiful speaking voice is in great demand: It has appeared in the video games Medal of Honor: European Assault, SOCOM II: U.S. Navy SEALs, SOCOM 3: U.S. Navy SEALs, Call of Duty 2, Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, Eragon, Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth II - Rise of the Witch King, The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth II, Endwar and Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts. I'd say he keeps busy there.

Julian Stone: Stage and Film

This year, Stone completed a romantic comedy, Bed & Breakfast, which stars Eric Roberts, Dean Cain, and John Savage. On television, he has worked on: The Event, Headcase, Imagination Movers, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, ER, Baywatch, and many other series. And he keeps those theater chops going. He was in the west coast premiere of Man from Nebraska directed by William Friedkin (The Exorcist) which starred Brian Kerwin and Kathy Baker. One review stated of the supporting cast: "cast members Ben Livingston, Jane A. Johnston, Susannah Schulman, Laura Niemi, Susan Dalian, Julian Stone, and Hal Landon Jr....inhabit their vivid characters well enough to steal a scene or two."
