IPL Opening Ceremony Celebrations and Stars Performances
Celebrities have broken the limited boundaries of b-town. They also participate in other social event also. Not just the stars of Bollywood but, also from other countries are participating in national and international events. These events knit the entire world with a single thread.
Now-a-days IPL fever is on mind of everybody then, how can these celebs stay behind? IPL 2013 is about to start but, the craze among people have already crossed precious records. This Pepsi IPS 2013 is the sixth season that will be played across the country from 3 April to 26 May 2013. A Total of 72 matches will be played across the 12 venues in India.
From performance in the opening and closing ceremonies to owning the IPL teams, these world renowned celebrities have become a major part of this event. Talking about the opening ceremony, rumors were that the Hollywood star (actress and singer) Jennifer Lopez will give the performance. But, now it has been confirmed that she has got herself axed from this gala.
This season centre of attractions from the Bollywood and Hollywood will be Shilpa Shetty, Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, Pitbull, and few others. The grand celebration will be start today at 7 PM local time (2:30 pm BST) and at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. This garden is the largest sports garden in the country and second highest in the world. The first match will be on Wednesday 3 April 2013 between KKR (Kolkata Knight Riders) and DD (Delhi Daredevils).
Being the owner of Kolkata Knight Riders, Shah Rukh Khan has earned the right to host this function. He will be accompanied by International Rapper Pitbull, gorgeous diva Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukon. Good news coming from the weather department is that this ceremony will be rain free. Even the bollywood star better called as Bollywood Badshah has promised to give a spectacular and never seen before start to this gala.
Shah Rukh will be accompanied by his co-stars Deepika and Katrina, where as Pitbull will thrill around 60 million viewers with his raps. The trio would perform to a medley of Bollywood chart-toppers after which Pitbull is expected to join them on the stage with some of his popular rap numbers. The entire stadium has been decorated in a lavish way which includes a big stage for the performances during opening.
In addition to it, a large troupe of around 300 dancers is expected to perform on a track composed by renowned music composer Pritam. A troupe of 19 Red Poppy artistes, a band of women percussionists from China, would add to another international touch to the celebrations. €Shah Rukh Khan loves the city of joy as well as happiness and he is already very excited to perform there. Katrina Kaif will be performing there for the first time.
When Pitbull was told that he is being invited to perform at the opening ceremony of the Pepsi IPL 2013, and SRK would also be performing as well, he also agreed to come. The IPL winner will be crowned the Pepsi IPL 2013 champion, at the end of the final on Sunday, 26 May 2013, again at the Eden Gardens.
