Best Way to Exercise Abs to Get Them Stronger

There are many different ways to exercise your abs.
Some recommend to do compound exercises, some recommend the air cycling so what way is the best of getting stronger abs.
I don't know may this come as a shock to anybody, but for getting stronger abs you need to do ab exercises! Compound exercises and other ways of exercising abs have their place, but when aiming for strong abs nothing beats the targeted ab exercise.
Why targeted exercises, why not those compound exercises.
Answer is quite simple, few times I have seen that to get better abs you should start martial arts like kickboxing or wrestling.
As those both sports are very intensive on your core, in those both you need great strength overall and specially around the abs.
The truth again from these both sports is that they do very many kinds of exercising jumping jacks, push-ups etc.
at the practice, but still they do the basic sit ups and other ab exercises to strengthen the abs more.
If you take your sports seriously, you'll exercise more ab exercises at the gym with weights to get more strength to your abs.
So compound exercises are what they are, compound, if you want target your abs, you do ab exercises.
As with any other body part, when you want to get more strength to that part of your body you exercise it, with weights! You may already know that doing 100 push-ups might not tell anything about persons true strength, but good amount of weight in squat, deadlift or bench press tells you much more.
The same thing goes for abs.
To get strong abs, use weights! The best and the fastest way of getting stronger abs is to do resistance training! This is a well known fact, proven time and time again.
Bodyweight exercises will eventually get you stronger abs, but to get better results and faster the resistance exercising is the king.
So, choose ab exercises you enjoy of doing and take a weight along your exercising and feel the difference.
