Filing Gulf Coast claims?
The GCCF has not been very quick in providing compensation. This is really a ploy that it is using in order to force claimants to act out of desperation. Those people that are not willing to wait and fight for adequate compensation are accepting quick payouts. These payouts range from five thousand dollars for personal compensation and twenty-five thousand dollars for business. However, people that are not willing to accept this amount of compensation and who are prepared to wait will need to exercise all their patience to handle the GCCF's delaying tactics. Worse still, they may even receive GCCF claims denied notices. You should not allow GCCF to force you into accepting a lower payment. By hiring a lawyer you can take it to court and hope to get up to three to five times the compensation for losses suffered.
This is a good option and far better than being forced to accept GCCF's final settlement for your BP claim. Such a step would mean that you would only receive compensation for between one and two years of your losses. Though it is going to take you longer to receive your compensation by going to court, in the end it may be a much better option than accepting a quick payout from the GCCF. Though the GCCF will pay you within 90 days the amount of money paid to you will be far lower than what you should get.
