How to Hang Christmas Garland in a Large Entryway
- 1). Determine what color and type of garland you want to use to decorate your entryway. A formal foyer that opens to an elegant parlor or living room should be decorated in a way that complements the connecting room. Choose from beaded garland, tinsel, pre-lit, popcorn, candy or plastic garland.
- 2). Choose the best place to hang and drape your garland. This may be over the doorway, a mirror, a picture, wrapped around an indoor tree, draped on a bench or table.
- 3). Set up your ladder or step-stool, climb up and arrange the garland. You can wrap it around thumbtacks, nails or hooks if need be.
- 4). Spruce up the garland by entwining a string of mini-lights (if you don't opt for the pre-lit kind) or tying festive bows or bells around the garland. Attach mistletoe to the garland over doorways with a simple bow, as well.
