Now this is interesting. Anybody who's seen Girl Interrupted knows that Angelina Jolie can pull off a phenomenally frightening sociopath. Directing the ol' ultra-violence is Nicolas Winding Refn, the Dane best known for 2008's Bronson. Given that Angie's too old to play Alex now, I presume that this Kubrick-less Clockwork would've been made around... oh, 2001.
