How to Clean Magnesium Chloride From Leather Boots
- 1). Brush off as much salt as you can with your hands. Set the boots on a shoe tree to hold their form or insert a cedar shoe form into each.
- 2). Place a damp towel on the boots. Leave it there overnight.
- 3). Soak a clean rag in a solution of equal parts water and white vinegar. Wipe down the spots on the boots that had magnesium chloride on them.
- 4). Rinse the cloth in water and wipe the boots again to remove the vinegar solution. Gently wipe them with a towel to dry them, then set the boots on the towel to air-dry. Set them away from radiators or heating vents.
