- 1). Pick almost any color you want if your siding is white or a light neutral shade like cream or light tan. These colors provide a clean canvas on which you can add any color you wish without fear of clashing. The only thing you may consider is if you want to use the very brightest, most intense colors for the trim, it can be hard on the eye.
