Atlanta Dating - Under The Hemlock Cabins
Under the Hemlock Cabin and camping mixed with a day at Amicalola Falls is the perfect mix. These adorable little cabins tucked away in the North Ga. Mountains are priced to keep the wallet happy at around $60.00, and yes that's everything, no surprises, no cleaning fees nutin...
The cabins are a mix between primitive and luxury. There are no showers or toilets in the cabins, however at the time of this write up, the owner has installed a biodegradable toile in one of the cabins. The cabins are all served by a shared bathhouse that's crystal clean with a heater, and hot shower.
The cabins are small one bedroom and cozy. Each cabin comes equipped with a large very comfortable bed, an air conditioner that will freeze you out in the summer, and a heater that will keep you nice and cozy during the winter months. Visitors are required to bring their own blankets and pillows, but they do give you fresh sheets upon your arrival. All the cabins are in well-shaded areas with a lot of forest cover, and nice shaded / covered porches to sit out on for evening of great conversation.
Each cabin has a fire pit, picnic table, and grill perfect for you and your date to enjoy a romantic cookout.
The camp store offers a nice lunch with menu choices such as an awesome BBQ sandwich, hot dogs, and hamburgers, all at insanely low prices making it perfect for a quick budget friendly lunch.
The owner of Under the Hemlock Cabins does chain saw woodcarvings out in front of the camp store, which are available for sale. The hosts here are very friendly, accommodating, down to earth and warm, and they make you feel almost like family right off.
If you and your date want to go do a little trout fishing, these cabins are just minutes down from Devils Elbow, a section of trout waters known for large rainbow trout. Just ask Mike the owner, and he will tell you how to get there.
If you stay here, you must take the one-mile drive up to Amicalola Falls. At Amicalola Falls you and your date can spend a entire day sight seeing the waterfalls, shopping in the two available gift shops, or dining one of any three meals at the lodge all you can eat buffet offering probably one of the most romantic dining and sunset views available anywhere in Georgia at a very fair price. There is a small parking fee at the state park, which you are not required to pay if you tell the attendant that you are just visiting the lodge to eat.
