You must be satisfied with all your vendors, and not be stressed by them on your wedding day. Just because a DJ company has an ad in the yellow pages or the local wedding publications doesn't mean they are the best or trusted. As a matter of fact, surveys conclude that after the wedding was all said and done nearly 100% of brides would have spent more money on their DJ, Video and Band.Don't Hire a Bad DJ:A full-service wedding company will normally “invest” 12 to 30 hours or more to your special day but it may appear that you are only paying for “4 hours”. Holding an occasion can be very pricey, especially a wedding, the last thing you want is it to be ruined by a bad DJ or Karaoke Host. You hear of horror stories (and we have helped people out before because of this) of DJ's letting down client for weddings and other such big events days before there are due to go ahead. We receive several calls each week from distraught couples whose DJ or band have let them down for their wedding receptions. They ask us to try and save the day for them, but it is not always possible at the very last minute.A DJ without a contract or a disc jockey advertising the cheapest prices around may be the sign of a novice or even worse a reputable company that hires novices for your wedding or event.Be careful. It's not a "good deal" to just find the cheapest DJ in town without truly investigating what you are actually going to have on the day of your event. Nothing can wreck the investment you've made in your party swifter than a bad caterer or terrible entertainment.Stick with a company that is referred by the top venues in the area. Also ask if that DJ company paid for that referral, or is it an unpaid referral. Unpaid DJ referrals from the venues or friends are the BEST because they know who puts on a fantastic party and who is easy to work with on the day of your event. The Mobile Disc Jockey Industry Is Growing:There is a movement in the mobile DJ industry to offer more. Some have full time services with an office staff, event coordinator and other services. These businesses can offer more to the customer than ever before. It might be worth paying a little extra for a firm or DJ with 10 years+ of experience and a full-time staff to fulfill your pre-planning desires.
