Dollhouse Lighting Is Magic To A Little Girl

My daughter was 5 years old when I promised to build a dollhouse that had lights that would go on at the switch.
To give her a dolls house with dollhouse lighting was a sincere promise but alas my daughter Anne is now 42 with two children and one of them is at the magical age of 5 and the wiring is still not finished.
I did build the house and it was a bit rough but it did have two stories and some windows and a few simple bits of furniture.
But the dollhouse lighting is where I lost it.
I had bits of wires in place and torch globes stuck in various corners but I never really got it connected properly and so the dollhouse never quite got finished.
Last seen many years ago in the corner of a garage.
Perhaps some clever person got it a garage sale and actually finished the wiring? It would be good to think that.
If you are not the electrical handyman type and your daughter wants a dollhouse with lighting then there are ways to do it without the years of delay or botched workmanship.
You don't have to be an electrician because with the right kit you will get good simple instructions and all the bits and pieces needed to make it happen.
There are a few brands to choose from and the product I would recommend is Cir-Kit.
This kit supplies the wires and simple instructions to make it easy.
It doesn't even require any soldering of the wiring it works with tapes and keeps the wiring out of site at the perimeter of the dollhouse.
The voltage is low and there is no risk to a child playing with the wires and touching them.
You can add a dimmer switch to these kits, which gives a great sense of empowerment to children who find they can control the lights - and they will probably fiddle with it for days when the dollhouse lighting is all completed.
While there is no electrical risk to children as the current and amperage is low and harmless however make sure the wiring is put in securely and use a magnifier glass to fit the fine wiring that carries the current.
So now go to it and fit out the dollhouse wiring to give much pleasure to that little daughter who will soon grow up.
