FAN FEEDBACK AND QUESTIONS

Nicole writes: “I haven't heard anyone say it yet, but I think Destiny gave the performance of a lifetime! Is she too young for an Emmy? She may still be immature in her career, and she might not do a great job acting all the time, but this was her best! I don't know how these young kids can act so well, but to have the talent to pull off such an emotional scene like she did was amazing!

I have seen many adults do a 'crying' scene and you could tell it was fake. Destiny made me feel like this was real life with her tears and actions.20She has a great career ahead of her if she sticks with it! KUDOS kid!”

Dear Nicole: For the most part, I have not been a big fan of Destiny’s. This young actress usually comes off to me as one with potential who needs some work making the emotions seem real. However, I do agree that the scenes she did where she was heartbroken over Shawn’s condition were very well done and I was impressed with her. She did make me feel like it was the real deal and she did show the depth of Destiny’s love for her brother.

JUDY97 writes: “Are there any other parents on the planet who are worse than Todd and Blair? Even the Bundys (Married With Children) and the Connors (Roseanne) are better than they are. Blair seemed awfully casual when she found out about Starr and Hope being kidnapped. Maybe it was jet lag? It wasn't the reaction I expected from her.”

Dear JUDY97: Basically, I think Blair is a good mother until something comes up that turns her into the jealous, petty, Todd-crazy woman she is, which means that I agree with you because Blair is never more than half a second away from devising some scheme that relates to her sick relationship with Todd.

We didn’t actually see Blair’s reaction when she found out what actually happened to Starr and Hope, but I agree that we didn’t get to see her really go crazy. I think that was a combination of the writers not letting us see her anxiety and the fact that she was dealing with Ross hidden in the cabana. We should have gotten to see more of Blair worried about her kids than her dealing with Ross because when she is present, Blair does put her kids first. The key phrase is “when she is present.”

Kitty writes: “I find it utterly ridiculous for soaps to make every first time sexual encounter result in a baby. Stacy getting pregnant in one 'mating' with Rex and one 'drugged bedding' with Fish is abhorrent. It isn't believable and it's way over done on soaps. No one believes it and it is NOT entertaining.”

Dear Kitty: I totally agree with you but unfortunately for us, sometimes the only way to have an obnoxious character stay obnoxious and keep a good couple apart is to use the old pregnancy storyline. It is tedious and unbelievable, as is any storyline that we can figure out before it even happens. Everybody knew that the only way Stacy could in any way remain in Rex’s life after the stem cell debacle was to get herself pregnant. I agree with you; it is anything but entertaining.
