Most people I know would give anything to get six pack abs and that includes dieting.
Restraining yourself from eating is a very difficult task.
However, did you ever wonder why you are still not building muscles even you're on a diet? The most popular dietary plan usually consists of low calorie meals.
This is a terrible mistake! Why? Well, let me show you the 6 reasons your low calorie diet does not work and why it won't help you get six pack abs.
Here they are: 1.
Low Calorie intake can lead to muscle loss and definitely decreases your metabolism At first, you will lose a huge amount of fat stored in your body.
However, after following your low calorie diet for several weeks, your body will not only lose body fat but also lean muscles.
When you want to get six pack abs, you literally want to build your muscles not lose them.
Scientifically, it's proven that this dietary plan will reduce your metabolism.
When you lose lean muscles, your metabolic rate also decreases.
This will, eventually, make it harder for you to lose fat in the future.
2.
Low Calorie Diet won't sculpt your body Now that your low calorie diet just destroyed your metabolism, it will prevent you from sculpting your body.
You will only lose the stored fat, but you won't get six pack abs.
Just imagine yourself transforming from a huge pear into a small pear.
Because you are losing muscles along the way, there will be no more muscles to tone and shape.
That's not how you visualize your fitness goal, right? 3.
It will only increase your appetite.
This is the hardest part.
All those dieting will eventually lead to nonstop hunger pangs.
When you can no longer take the cravings, time will come where you'll cheat on your diet.
With all the delectable and unhealthy foods, it can get out of hand.
As you consume these types of foods with your newly-established slow metabolism, all the fat will rush back into your body.
4.
It allows your body to store fat rather than burn them Remember that our body has a system; it doesn't understand the reason for your diet.
It only understands the functions of your body as a whole.
One function is the instinct to SURVIVE.
When your calorie level drops continuously, your body will, INSTINCTIVELY, store the remaining fat in your body.
Thus, it will slow down your fat burning enzymes and make you resistant to burning body fat.
5.
It deflates your energy level Without taking in the proper nutrition your body need, your energy level will decrease.
You will feel tired most of the time.
However, this is not the worst scenario.
When you get exhausted easily, this will surely affect your workout performance.
Now that your body lacks the energy to do your workout program with efficiency, you cannot complete your entire six pack goal.
Not only will you fail in performing your workouts, but you won't be able to intensify them as well.
Do you believe you can get six pack abs without even engaging in a high-intensity workout? Well, that is one big misconception.
Dieting alone will not give you a well-built and perfectly shaped physique.
6.
It can make you look worst than you were before you started your dietary program.
After following your low calorie diet, can you answer this question: 'Can you go on with this diet FOREVER?' I think not.
NO ONE can survive starvation for a lifetime.
That's a proven fact.
Even if you are determined to push through this kind of diet, time will come where your body can no longer take it.
Eventually, when you give in to your hunger's desire, you will gain more fat because of all the reasons stated above.
Now tell me, will that get you the abs you want? A low calorie diet is not the best way to get six pack abs.
It won't do your workouts any good and it will be bad for your health, too.
If you really want to get six pack abs, a healthy well-balanced diet is a great start.
Combine it with the proper exercise, I bet that will work like magic.
