Romantic"s Guide to Popping the Question - Book Review
However just bending the knee and asking 'Will you marry me?' has been done so many times before everyone is looking for something new, creative and unique to make this occasion special and worth remembering the rest of your lives.
So with that in mind does "The Romantic's Guide to Popping the Question" give you what you need to make an unforgettable marriage proposal? Yes & no.
No, only because this book is not a do-it-yourself step by step guide because that would generate the most bland and non-unique proposals; this is a book for inspiration and ideas not cookie cutter clones.
To get these inspirational thoughts and ideas the book has 101 stories of unique and special proposals.
Each is a gem of a story that will get you thinking about what really makes a marriage proposal special ranging from the expensive and elaborate to extremely low budget but equally as good.
In fact long after I had decided on what to put in this review I kept turning pages to see how the next story could possibly be more imaginative and creative but I kept hitting on great ones such as the horseback proposal with a different twist, the unique way to propose in a cinema and story number 13 had me just saying "wow!".
Oh, and what gave this book and extra star for this review was the 25 WORST marriage proposals that horrified and amused at the same time.
Reading these may in fact be more beneficial to your own plans than the good ones! The only issue I have is the good stories are often too good but do not let this put you off.
While these are the cream of the crop it is not something you need to top just some great food for thought when deciding what you want to do.
