After beginning his career as a producer for Lil Wayne, Diddy, and Cash Money Records co-founder Birdman, Jason Derulo launched his solo career in 2009 and has sold over 50 million records, including ten platinum singles. In 2011, he won Songwriter of the Year at the BMI Pop Music Awards for composing several hits, including "In My Head", "Ridin' Solo,"and "Whatcha Say."

Derulo has toured as an opening act for Lady Gaga and the Black Eyed Peas, and has collaborated with several stars including Snoop Dogg, 2 Chainz, Pitbull, and Demi Lovato. In 2015, he became a regular judge on So You Think You Can Dance along with Paula Abdul.

1. 2009 - "Whatcha Say"


Jason Derulo launched his solo career in 2009 with his debut single  "Whatcha Say" which hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified quadruple platinum. 


2. 2013 - "Talk Dirty" featuring 2 Chainz


From his 2013 Tattoos CD, "Talk Dirty" by Jason Derulo featuring 2 Chainz sold over four million copies and reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100. It was the first single Derulo's recorded with a guest artist             


3. 2010 - "Ridin' Solo"


"Ridin' Solo," the third single from Jason's Derulo's 2010 self-titled debut album, sold over three million copies. It peaked at number nine on the Billboard Hot 100 and became his third consecutive Top Ten hit.


4. 2014 - "Wiggle" featuring Snoop Dogg


"Wiggle" featuring Snoop Dogg was the sixth single from Jason Derulo's third album, Tattoos. The song was certified double platinum and peaked at number five on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2014.


5. 2009 - "In My Head"


Jason Derulo released his second single, "In My Head," in 2009. From his self-titled  debut CD, it sold over two million copies and peaked at number five on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2010, the song earned a Teen Choice Award for Choice R&B Track.


6. 2013 - "Trumpets"


"Trumpets" was the fifth single from Jason Derulo's 2014 Talk Dirty CD. It was certified double platinum and peaked at number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100.                                                                      


7. 2010- "Don't Wanna Go Home"


Jason Derulo released "Don't Wanna Go Home" as the first single from his 2011 CD, Future History. The song was certified platinum and reached number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100.                                         


8. 2011- "It Girl"


"It Girl" was the second single form Jason Derulo's 2011 CD, Future History. The song peaked at number 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 and sold over one million copies. The video features actress Tika Sumpter from Tyler Perry's The Haves and the Have Nots TV series on the Oprah Winfrey Network


9. 2013 - "The Other Side"


"The Other Side" was the first single from Jason Derulo's 2013 CD, Tattoos. The song was certified platinum and peaked at number 18 on the Billboard Hot 100.                                                                   


10. 2013 - "Marry Me"


Jason Derulo released "Marry Me" as the second single from his 2013 CD, Tattoos. The song peaked at number 26 and sold over one million copies. However despite its success, the song has bittersweet memories for Derulo.

It was inspired by his then girlfriend, Jordin Sparks, who appears in the video. However, after a three year relationship, the lyrics "marry me" came up empty as the couple broke up in September 2014. Prior to the split, ironically it was announced that Derulo would be featured on her upcoming single "Before It Breaks," but their breakup canceled those plans.
