Actors, Don"t Be Camera Shy
Well, if you're trying to be an actor you have got to get rid of this fear.
How do you suppose you'll handle yourself when you've been chosen for a part in front of the camera? You have to be camera ready! That means ready to deal with the camera.
Some of you actors are excellent on stage.
You've done numerous theater productions, but when it comes to acting in front of the camera you freeze up.
Yes, stage acting is completely different.
On stage your acting has to BIG.
Everything has to be animated in order to reach the audience since they are sitting just a few feet away from you.
When you act in front of the camera you have to tone it down a bit compared to when you are on stage.
The camera magnifies a lot so you don't need to over act.
You can show slight emotion with your eyes, hands, and mannerisms, but no need to over do it.
Once you get comfortable in front of the camera the possibilities are endless.
You make more money and the exposure is enormous.
Take that extra step and graduate to acting on camera.
Don't be afraid of doing so.
There are classes specifically designed for it.
Familiarize yourself with this technique and face your fear.
