    • 1). Contact the original account holder of the ZTE C88 phone (if this is not you). The original account holder is the person to whose account the ZTE C88 was last activated.

    • 2). Get the owner of the phone to call the MetroPCS customer service department at 1-888-863-8768.

    • 3). Tell the MetroPCS customer-service representative that the ZTE C88 has been recovered (if it was reported lost or stolen), or that you would like to settle the account's past due balance (if the account is delinquent). The MetroPCS customer-service representative will clear your phone's bad ESN once your account ownership has been verified and your bill is settled. Have the phone's ESN number handy. The customer-service representative will ask you for it. The phone's ESN number can be found by taking off the phone's battery cover and removing the battery. The ESN number is printed on a label inside the battery compartment.
