And this mental disorder is becoming more common these days.
With or without the person's knowledge, his anxiety or stress accumulated during the day actually ends up being expressed in the form of panic attacks.

Excessive anxiety and stress accumulated during the day or during non sleeping hours.
Example of these would be stress or worries for impending examinations, work place problems, marital and relationship problems, etc.

This is specially true to most senior citizens who already have the history of heart attacks and or strokes.
Symptoms: Some of the symptoms of these mental disorder are breathlessness, feeling choked, disturbing thoughts, abnormal sweating, and rapid heart rate.
These symptoms are just indicators and not conclusive proofs.
So it will be better to consult a physician relating to this mental disorder rather than expecting it to get cured automatically.
Treatments: If a person is aware of and realizes that he or she has an emotional disorder then it can be treated effectively.
Upon realization of the problem, it is imperative that the person tries to stay calm and and keep reassuring himself that everything is going to be fine.
Bring down the tension and reduce your anxiety levels by doing some breathing exercises.
Relaxation technique or psychotherapy is also a very effective way in curing problems relating to this problem.
