How to Adjust a 2000 Celica's Headlights

    • 1). Park your Celica directly in front of a garage door or wall.

    • 2). Place a horizontal strip of tape on the wall that has the same length as the distance from the left to the right fender. Place this strip at the same height as the low beam center mark, which is a small dot on the headlight's low beam shield.

    • 3). Measure 3 meters, or 9.84 feet, away from the wall and place a strip of tape on the ground at that point. Move the Celica until the headlights are directly above this strip of tape. Turn on the headlights and open the hood.

    • 4). Look for the adjustment knob, which is in the shape of a small sprocket, attached to the headlight between the headlight and the fender.

    • 5). Twist this knob to change the vertical aim of the headlight. Aim so that the bottom of the beam hits 20.9 millimeters, or 0.823 inches, below the horizontal strip of tape you placed on the wall.
