How to Reset the "Service Now" Light on a 2007 Volkswagen Passat
- 1). Turn the Passat’s ignition “On,” but don’t start the engine. Use the arrow buttons on the steering wheel or the rocker button on the windshield wiper stalk to toggle the menu to the “Settings” option. Press the “Ok” button on the windshield wiper stalk or the steering wheel.
- 2). Enter the “Service” option by toggling through the “Settings” until you reach the “Service” option, using the rocker button on the wiper stalk or the arrow buttons on the steering wheel. Press the “Ok” button.
- 3). Toggle to the “Reset” option in the "Service" function with the steering wheel arrow buttons or the wiper stalk rocker switch. Press “Ok” to initiate the resetting of the system.
- 4). Press the “Ok” button again when prompted by the menu, and watch as the “Service Now” light extinguishes.
- 1). Turn the Passat’s ignition to the “Off” position, if needed.
- 2). Press and hold the “OD/Set” button on the bottom-right corner of the instrument cluster, and turn the ignition to the “On” position without starting the engine.
- 3). Release the “OD/Set” button, then press and release the "Clock set" button -- the button on the bottom-left of the instrument cluster with a clock image on it -- within 20 seconds of releasing the “OD/Set” button.
- 4). Observe as the “Service Now” light turns off.
