- 1). Wash the plastic engine cover with soap and water with a sponge.
- 2). Dry the engine cover with a lint-free towel.
- 3). Lay the plastic cover on a flat surface on top of a newspaper.
- 4). Shake the primer spray can for several minutes to properly mix the primer and then spray three coats of plastic primer on the engine cover, allowing each coat to dry completely before applying the next coat. Each coat should dry for at least 30 minutes.
- 5). Shake the high temperature color spray can for several minutes to properly mix the paint. Apply three coats of paint to the plastic engine cover allowing each coat to dry fully before applying the next coat of paint to the engine cover.
