How do I Install a 1970s Indoor Outdoor Thermometer With Wire?
- 1). Decide where you wish to hang your thermometer indoors, keeping in mind that the wire must go through the wall so the probe can be outside.
- 2). Drill a hole, using the long bit, through your wall, window frame or door frame. Make the hole ever-so-slightly larger than the probe.
- 3). Fish the probe wire through the wall, pulling the probe to the outdoors.
- 4). Seal the hole around the probe wire with waterproof sealant, both indoors and out.
- 5). Insert the screw into the wall, using the screwdriver, and hang the thermometer over the hole you drilled for the probe.
