    • 1). Decide where you wish to hang your thermometer indoors, keeping in mind that the wire must go through the wall so the probe can be outside.

    • 2). Drill a hole, using the long bit, through your wall, window frame or door frame. Make the hole ever-so-slightly larger than the probe.

    • 3). Fish the probe wire through the wall, pulling the probe to the outdoors.

    • 4). Seal the hole around the probe wire with waterproof sealant, both indoors and out.

    • 5). Insert the screw into the wall, using the screwdriver, and hang the thermometer over the hole you drilled for the probe.
