How to Tape an Arch
- 1). Choose a tape color that blends with the arch or the materials it will hold, or both. For example, if using tape to hold strands of white Christmas lights in position, choose a white electrical tape that blends with the white arch and white wires. Clear tape is an option if the colors cannot be matched.
- 2). Wind the tape tightly around the arch to hold the decorations in place. Wrapping it fully around a piece of the arch and adhering it onto itself will help prevent it from peeling off.
- 3). Tuck all edges of tape down, or add tape on top of them so that pieces of tape do not poke up and detract from the decorations.
- 4). Select tape appropriate to the materials it is holding. For example, use electrical tape for electrical items, such as wires for lights, and floral tape for flowers.
