    • 1). Keep the dog on a leash when introducing it to other dogs or people. This will ensure that no person or animal will get hurt.

    • 2). Find out exactly what situations make your dog upset or trigger aggression. Keep your voice calm. Make sure your dog is on a leash during bouts of aggression.

    • 3). Gently try to calm your dog. Do not yell or hit the dog, as this will only promote aggression.

    • 4). Give your dog a treat or verbal praise every time your dog does calm down. The dog will eventually understand that calm behavior is rewarded behavior and the aggression will disappear over time.
