How to Remove a 1992 Corvette Seat
- 1). Move the seat forward towards the windshield as far as possible. Fold the back of the seat toward the front of the car to expose the two rear bolts holding the seat to the floor of the Corvette.
- 2). Loosen and remove the two rear nuts with a 15 mm wrench. A ratcheting wrench will speed up this process as room to maneuver tools is limited.
- 3). Move the seat back to the normal upright position and slide the seat towards the rear of the car.
- 4). Remove the front two nuts holding the seat to the floor with the 15 mm wrench.
- 5). Lift the seat cushion to expose the electrical connections to the seat. Disconnect one connection for manual seats and two connections for power seats. Gently pry the connections apart by hand, applying lateral movement to the connections if they are difficult to disconnect.
- 6). Place the bottom seat cushion into its normal position and move the seat back to the forward position. Carefully maneuver the seat through the door opening to complete the removal process.
