How to Replace the Wiper Blades on a Nissan Maxima
- 1). Lift the wiper arm away from the windshield so that it is standing straight up.
- 2). Push down on the release tab.
- 3). Pull out the old wiper blade and discard. Keep the release tab pressed down as you remove the old wiper blade.
- 4). Install the new wiper blade by sliding it along the wiper arm track until it clicks.
- 5). Repeat this process on the other wiper arm to complete the do-it-yourself car maintenance job.
- 6). Test your newly installed wiper blades by turning your car's battery on and spraying the windshield with washer fluid. In a few seconds, your wipers will wipe the fluid away. If your windshield is clear, you're ready to hit the open road. If not, look for an obstruction or debris on the wiper blade.
