As we all know, with the development of economy and technology, the environment around us is getting worse and worse. Now the earth is being threatened by greenhouse effect. It is caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide. To live a low-carbon life is the responsibility of each person. Anyway, we should save the earth not only for ourselves but also for our future generation. It is not difficult to do that. However, how should we do to maintain a low-carbon life?
We all know that, the Copenhagen climate change conference held at the end of 2009, and China played an important role in the conference. China would like to set an example to save energy and reduce emissions and call on everyone to live a low-carbon life. All of a sudden, terms such as "energy conservation", "emission reduction" and "low-carbon life" become popular among common people. In someplace, some people have joined the low-carbon campaign and appealed for the protection of other mother nature.
The lives of many people began to become green. As students, it's our duty to love the earth. First, we can go to school on foot or by bike. Second, when we go shopping, we should use own bags instead of plastic bags. Third, when we leave the room, please turn off all lights. When we buy some electric appliances, we should buy energy-saving ones. Save the power and water. What's more, we should use both sides of paper. I want to say:" Protect environment, we should do some little things first." And many people began to give up smoking. In some families, they start to use methane gas to cook. We can see that low-carbon life has blended in peoples life. Most people try their best to maintain a low-carbon life. All in all, we should consume fewer resources. Besides the basic needs for maintaining a life, we can lead a simpler way of life. We can recycle some wastes so that we need to develop fewer resources from the nature.
However, many factories also discharge sewage and cut the trees in order to maintain their own interests. In my opinion, the government should make more strict lows and take effective measures to maintain a low-carbon life.
In conclusion, only maintain a low-carbon life can we have a beautiful home. For too long a time, we have been demanding too much from the nature and take what the nature has endowed us as granted.
