There are so many products and programs on the market the list is endless.
I'm sure you have tried some of them yourself, I sure have! We all know the basics of weight loss: eat less fat, burn more calories.
The diet component is just as important as exercise.
But what if you cannot afford a gym membership or personal trainer? There are literally hundreds of exercises you do at home that will help you lose weight! The first, most effective and most basic form of exercises for weight loss is simply going for a walk or jog.
You should do this at a minimum of three days a week to get any real results.
Depending on you fitness levels, a brisk walk may be more than enough to get your heart rate up into the fat burning zone.
For the best fat burning results, you should exercise for at least 30 minutes, and at the fat burning heart rate (which is 70% of your maximal heart rate).
Try organising a walk or jog with a friend or family member, this will make it more fun! The next set of exercises you can do at home are classified as resistance exercises.
They are exercises where you use your body weight to give resistance to you muscles.
Some examples include squats, lunges, push-ups, sit-ups, chin-ups, and step-up exercises onto a high step or block.
They require no equipment and are extremely effective in not only accelerating fat los,s but also toning your muscles.
You may decide to go for a walk every second day of the week, then every other day do 20 minutes of resistance exercises.
As a rough guide, complete 3 sets of 10 repetitions of each of those exercises for a great fat burning workout! Finally, if you do have some money to spend, buying exercise DVDs are a great way to keep you motivated.
They are a small investment when you consider the results your can get.
There are so many on the market, which is great as you can buy a new one every few months and mix up your workout routines! The key to all these exercise is commitment and dedication.
It is easy to become lazy when you can see your couch and TV next to you.
Try a set up a specific exercise area in your house, and use this every day!
