How to Replace a Headlight Switch in a 1995 S-10 Blazer
- 1). Ensure the headlight switch is in the off position.
- 2). Inspect the instrument cluster bezel for retaining screws. If screws are present, remove the screws using a screwdriver. If no screws are present, use the angled trim panel tool to unsnap the retaining clips under the bezel to remove it from the dashboard.
- 3). Disconnect the wiring harness from the headlight switch.
- 4). Remove the retaining screw of the headlight switch, if applicable. If no retaining screw is present, unsnap the headlight switch from the bezel using the angled trim panel tool or a straight-edged screwdriver.
- 5). Install the replacement headlight switch and refasten it by reversing the removal procedure.
- 6). Reconnect the wiring harness to the headlight switch and then test the headlights before reattaching the instrument cluster bezel. Turn the headlight switch back to the off position after testing.
- 7). Reinstall the instrument cluster bezel and replace the screws or snap the retaining fasteners back into place.
