How to Check the Brake Fluid on a 94 Ford Explorer
- 1). Open the Explorer's hood and locate the brake master cylinder reservoir -- the white, translucent tank on the driver's rear of the engine compartment. Wipe the master cylinder reservoir off with a clean, lint-free cloth.
- 2). Check the level of the brake fluid relative to the "Min" and "Max" lines on the exterior of the reservoir.
- 3). Unscrew the cap from the brake master cylinder reservoir and pour DOT 3 brake fluid into the master cylinder reservoir until the level is at least above the "Min" line, if the fluid is low.
- 4). Tighten the cap back onto the brake master cylinder and close the Explorer's hood.
