How to Remove an IS300 Rear Bumper Cover

    • 1). Look at the ends of the rear bumper just behind the rear tires for the black plastic splash guards inside the wheel wells. Remove the row of Phillips screws along the edge of the splash guards that connect them to the rear bumper. Do this on each side of the car.

    • 2). Reach under the rear bumper cover, just behind the tires from where you just removed the splash guard. Along the inside of the cover, where it meets the rear fender and just in front of the tail lights, there are three 8mm bolts to remove with the ratchet and an 8mm socket.

    • 3). Get underneath the rear bumper cover and locate the row of 10mm bolts that need to be removed with the ratchet and 10mm socket. These bolts are located along the inside edge of the top of the bumper cover and are easy to reach from underneath the IS300. The bumper cover will come off after these are removed.
