    • 1). Turn off the water cutoff valves below the sink. The water cutoff valves are on the hot and cold water lines coming out of the wall.

    • 2). Place a bucket under the sink to catch any remaining water in the pipes as you disconnect them. Turn on the hot and cold water faucets to drain any water left in the supply lines.

    • 3). Locate the slip nut securing the house drain pipe coming from the wall to the sink drain plumbing. Turn the slip nut counterclockwise with a pipe wrench or a pair of channel lock pliers.

    • 4). Remove the nut securing the top of the sink trap to the sink pipe coming from the sink drain with the pipe wrench. Remove the sink trap from under the sink.

    • 5). Disconnect the hot and cold water supply lines from the faucet with a pair of channel lock pliers. Loosen the water line connection at the cutoff valves, and set the lines out of the work area.

    • 6). Grab the sink on each side close to the wall with both hands, or ask a friend to grab one side while you grab the other side. Lift the sink straight up to remove the sink from the wall bracket. Set the sink out of your way.

    • 7). Look at the wall bracket to determine if you can use it for the next installation. If you cannot use the bracket, remove the four bolts securing the bracket to the wall. Pull the bracket away from the wall, and start preparing for the new sink installation.
