Here's a look at the top ten women in the Sochi 2014 Olympic Sprint F Final. The Cross Country Women's Sprint F (free skate) starts with a qualifying round, where, at Sochi, the women skiers race around a 1.2-1.3 km loop, starting at 15-second intervals.
The field is then culled down to the top 30 finishers in the qualification who then move to the quarterfinal heats. The two fastest competitors from each heat, plus the two third - or fourth-place skiers with the best times (called the «lucky losers»), advance to the next round - the semifinals.
