The highly popular cinema culture has made the Delhi theatre experience a priority for tourists and second habit for locals. Over the last decade and a half, multiplexes have mushroomed to cash in on this ever-riding wave. Most of the theatres are located within malls and other popular hangout zones so that visitors can combine their movie watching trip with lots of shopping and other merriment. Some of the hottest theatres include PVR Cinemas at Saket, Regal Cinema at Connaught Place, Satyam Cineplex at Janakpuri, Payal Cinema at Nehru Place. However, the energy and somewhat excitingly shady character of the place makes it worth the experience. The exuberance of Chandni Chowk's packed streets also leave you with lots of unforgettable exciting memories. It goes without saying that Connaught Place and Janpath are also not to be missed. Places Near Delhi


Amongst the numerous weekend getaways from Delhi, the city of Dehradun remains one of the oldest favourites. By road, the distance from Delhi to Dehradun is about 250 km. Here are a couple of other destinations that are not exactly near but can be quickly reached by air.

Trip to Lucknow


You can easily travel from Delhi to Lucknow in an hour's time by hopping on to one of the many direct flights.

Trip to Chennai


A Delhi to Chennai flight will take you about two and a half hours' time.

Weather of Delhi


Delhi weather is comfortable during October and November in autumn and during late February, March, and early spring in April. Winters are pretty chilly and summer are way too hot. Delhi rainfall is quite unpredictable as well, because the monsoons are becoming very erratic.
